Ask us directlySince November 2023, California's SB 606 and AB 1668 require every urban water supplier to hit a statewide "water use objective," with outdoor residential irrigation as one of the biggest levers suppliers lean on to get there. That pressure moves downstream to your bill and your local rebate and conservation programs, not away from it.

We'll also tell you what turf doesn't qualify for: the City of Chino Hills' and Cucamonga Valley Water District's turf-removal rebate programs pay for replacing lawn with living, drought-tolerant plants, and explicitly exclude synthetic turf. Your savings come from eliminated water and mowing costs directly, not a rebate check, and we'd rather tell you that up front than let you assume otherwise.
What did change in your favor: California Civil Code 4735 means your HOA legally cannot ban artificial turf outright. It can still require architectural approval and set reasonable rules on color and appearance, but it can't flatly deny your project just because it doesn't want turf.
